In forged steel pipes a black oxide is forms on the external part of pipe for providing the finish for this type of pipes. These pipes are jointed by screwing on threaded pipe by applying a small length pipe and pipes, which have large diameter are welded. This type of pipes are typically used for low pressure, heat water heating pipes. Black Steel pipes are also useful in some ordinary applications such as water, gas, air and steam.
